I absolutely love teaching Zumba. It has truly changed my life. I grew up taking classes in my grandmother’s dance studio and I became a dance teacher at the young age of 12. I have been dancing and teaching ever since. I was in a professional dance company for many years where I specialized in jazz and tap dancing. I graduated from the University of Maryland with B.S. degrees in Physical Education and Dance and then later in Computer Science. During college, I was fortunate to be a member of the cheerleading squad at the University of Maryland. After college I got certified as a Personal Trainer and continued teaching group fitness and children’s dance classes. As soon as I attended my first Zumba class, I was immediately in love with the program. It was so much fun and I loved learning all of the Latin rhythms and dances. It wasn’t long before I got certified in Zumba and started teaching. I suddenly realized how much I missed dancing and how happy it made me. I am so thrilled to have my own Brickhouse Cardio Club so that I can keep dancing and share my passion for Zumba and Fitness with my students.
I live in Ellicott City where my husband and I raised four wonderful children. I am a Software Engineer by day and a Fitness Instructor by night. I look forward to going to Brickhouse every day. It is a place for friendship, fun, and fitness.

After 9/11, Beth Evans stopped sleeping. Desperate for something to relieve her insomnia and anxiety, she turned to yoga. She learned that yoga’s quiet peace and joyful expressions were always present, no matter what life offered. In 2012, Beth completed Anusara Yoga Immersion at Capitol Hill Yoga in D.C. She went on to earn her RYT 200 in alignment-based Hatha yoga at the Yoga Center of Columbia in 2014. Happily raising four kids with her husband Trent Evans, Beth divides her time between teaching yoga and working for Baltimore County Recreation u0026amp; Parks.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”1595″ img_size=”200×200″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_column_text 0=””]Hey, I’m Cat. I graduated from UMBC with a BA in American Studies and Communications. After working in radio event promotions for several years, I completely changed my career path to fitness, got a job working the front desk at a gym and obtained 8 fitness certifications in a 1 year period. I love to teach classes and help people become the best version of themselves.
In my spare time I love to do anything involving art and drawing/painting, attending pop music concerts (anyone have a hookup to see Britney Spears in Vegas? Lol) and exploring new parks and places. My favorite holiday is Halloween and I love to make my own costumes (I’ve won several costume contests). I got married to my wonderful fiancé in September 2016 and looking forward to married life involving many random car rides with the windows down and music up heading to nowhere in particular with our pup in the backseat.
