I love the variety of the classes and the instructors are amazing!!! After breaking my knee in five places six years ago and since it grew back crooked (always get a second opinion) my balance and agility is better now than it was before the accident. I only wish I had joined a long time ago. I have wasted money and time at other facilities that do not give you a quarter of the workout as BHCC. I am almost sixty so do not be afraid to give it a try - you will NEVER regret joining!!!
I joined Brick House after about 4 mths of no exercise post-foot surgery – so I wasn’t exactly in shape to start! So far I have taken Body Pump, RIPPED and Cx Works and I love all these classes. Brick House offers diverse sessions and they are all challenging! Karen (owner) is awesome. She loves her job and genuinely cares about her clients. Case in point: I met her the first day I signed up & didn’t see her again until a week later and she remembered my name and reminded me of modifications I needed to do during class. With all the people she sees every week I really appreciate that she takes the times to make each session personal for everyone. She’s an engaging and tough teacher – totally recommend her Body Pump class. Kat is also fantastic. She teaches high energy RIPPED & Cx Works. I haven’t had a class with Aaron yet but I hear he’s famous for his grueling sessions – I will update after I’ve survived a class! Overall, this is a friendly gym with welcoming staff and classmates. It’s a positive place to work out and even if you don’t enjoy exercise you will enjoy being put through your paces with the team at Brick House in Ellicott City.
Name a diet? I’ve done them all! Exercise routines, I’ve tried most. The Bodypump class by far has given me the best results. I am addicted! I feel so strong, lifting more weight than I ever thought I could and cannot believe how my body is changing. It is fantastic!!! I love my Zumba classes but I adore my Bodypump class. Come join me, I promise you will feel the same.
Zumba and Brickhouse have been a lifesaver for me! I joined a year and a half ago on a New Year’s resolution and haven’t stopped since. I was inspired to get my teaching certificate but I’ve found I much more enjoy being on the floor and having a great time. I’m 58 years old and this is the first time in my life I’ve got muscles and have never been in better shape in my life! It also helped me lose 65 pounds and keep it off for three years. All of the instructors are professional but fun and wonderful. I do all of the classes and believe in the full workout schedule to build strong muscles to keep from injuries that can come with aging. It’s never too early or too late to start building a strong body.
I have been working with Karen Linnekin Taitano for more than 3 months and have seen amazing results in that time. I have never felt my self healthier and stronger. Sometimes the hardest part of the journey to any goal is keeping motivated.Whether you are trying to get fitter and slim but through VIP Transformation program i lost 23 pounds and 33 inches from my whole body which is make me so proud and believe in myself. Karen is a truly excellent trainer. She is the perfect combination of tough and warm, and she works with the whole person — mentally, emotionally and physically. Because of her efforts, I am stronger and more flexible, I have better balance and most importantly, working out has become fun. I recommend her without reservation.
I felt more motivated. My clothes fits better. I stopped worrying about my weight. My arms felt tighter and my waist line are definitely more toned. I just noticed it this weekend when I can actually put my Thai Dance costumes on without any modification. I also bought new clothes. It is not because I can’t fit into old ones. I actually love how I look when I try them on. There was the time where I just stick to T-shirts and jeans bc I hate how I look in cute sweaters. My fat bulging here and there. You know what I mean.
As far as exercise goes, I know what to do when I hit the gym or when I’m at home. I’m happy overall.
My goal was to lose weight but I got a lot more from these sessions. I’ve lost around 12 pounds, I can fit my pre-pregnancy clothes and I look great. My arms and legs are toned and I’ve been getting complements from my husband and other family members and friends. Additionally, I feel energetic and strong. As we know being healthy is not just exercising but also eating well. Karen Linnekin Taitano helps with that too. I got very detailed feedback regarding my eating habits.
